!!about me!!

i go by Otolith Waltz, i use both he/him and she/her equally along with the masc and fem terms they go with. i use the screenname poolOgrime everywhere but here (the "O" stands for Otolith!)
i made this site because social media is lame and not nearly customizable enough for me. mostly ill be using it catalog all my projects n drawings but also just generally live in, kick my feet up by the fireplace of teeth you know how it is.
keep in mind i am disabled (hello other cane users) and experience chronic pain/fatigue so i might disappear for long periods of time while i deal with that or rest.
ive been drawing as long as i can remember, i sew, write, make jewelry, sculpt, etc etc. no form of art is free from me if i can get my hands on it, though digital art is probably my biggest thing. i have MOUNTAINS of art laying around which i can hopefully archive for ur viewing displeasure.
i love messes, chaos, ugly slop, burn marks n' stains, no matter the medium trying to make something intentionally ugly or uncomfortable is SO fascinating to me. so obviously im a huge fan of horror. every peice of media is better if its atleast a little creepy or visceral!
i identify a lot with that classic dichotomy of grime and cleanliness as well, the endless fight between natural decay and shiny white bleach is sooooo me
i use an ipad and apple pencil and draw on ibis paint (they're hand-me downs fuck Apple)
i have a big interest in fish and boats!! anything realted to water really but fish especially makes my brain do a sick ass kick flip out of adoration. seeing those little guys makes my day. my persona (pictured on your left) is based off the flying fish (exocoetidae!!!).
comics r fucking incredible and i love making them. i have four(?) stories in early development right now and a few smaller projects finished and i have a blast making all of them, u can check my projects page to hear more about those eventually. once in production they will be hosted here! though if YOU like my art and perhaps want something made into a comic we should totally talk. actually i think itd be funnier if you didnt like my art
